MovingON Consortium Comes Together in Rotterdam
On 27–28 May 2026, partners of the MovingON – Moving from Conflict to Participation project gathered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, for the latest Transnational Project Meeting (TPM). Hosted by the Dutch partner organisation, the meeting brought together representatives from all consortium countries to review achievements, exchange experiences, and coordinate the next stages of the project.
Funded under the Erasmus+ Programme, MovingON aims to strengthen the participation of justice-involved and at-risk young people in democratic life, helping them become active contributors to their communities and decision-making processes.
Reviewing Progress Across Europe
The Rotterdam meeting provided an important opportunity for partners to reflect on the activities implemented during the first months of the project. Particular attention was given to the delivery of the “Caring for Crime and Violence Prevention in My Neighbourhood” training programme, which is currently being tested and implemented with young participants in the partner countries.
Partners shared insights from their local activities, discussing both successes and challenges encountered while engaging young people in exploring their communities, identifying local needs, and developing ideas for positive change.
The exchange of experiences highlighted the diversity of local contexts while confirming a common objective: creating meaningful opportunities for young people to have their voices heard and recognised.
Preparing for the Next Project Activities
A significant part of the meeting focused on planning upcoming project milestones, including future international mobilities and activities that will bring young people into direct dialogue with stakeholders and decision-makers.
Particular attention was given to the upcoming mobility in The Hague (22–26 June), which will bring together young participants and youth workers from across the partnership. During three days of exchanges, workshops, and collaborative activities, participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, learn from different local realities, and explore new approaches to youth participation and community engagement.

Partners reviewed communication and dissemination strategies, explored ways to increase the visibility of project results, and discussed how to maximise the impact of MovingON at local, national, and European levels.
The consortium also examined the progress of project management activities, ensuring that implementation remains aligned with the project’s objectives and timeline.
Strengthening Cooperation and Shared Learning
Beyond the formal agenda, the TPM offered valuable opportunities for networking and collaboration among partner organisations. Face-to-face meetings remain an essential part of European cooperation projects, allowing partners to strengthen relationships, exchange good practices, and develop shared solutions to common challenges.
Looking Ahead
As MovingON continues to progress, the project is entering an exciting phase in which young people’s ideas and experiences will increasingly shape the development of community-based actions and policy recommendations.
The Rotterdam meeting confirmed the consortium’s shared commitment to supporting young people in moving from conflict to participation, fostering stronger communities and encouraging active citizenship across Europe.
