The MovingON Project consortium recently held the first online Train the Trainers (ToT) session dedicated to the Participatory Evaluation Methodology (PEM), facilitated by 180 Foundation.
The training brought together trainers and youth workers from partner organisations to strengthen their capacity to apply participatory evaluation tools throughout the project’s implementation. This milestone marks an important step in ensuring a shared understanding of the evaluation approach across the partnership.
The session also reflects the strong collaboration and proactive engagement of all partners, contributing to the smooth and effective implementation of the project activities.
Building a Shared Approach to Evaluation
The training introduced partners to the Participatory Evaluation Methodology, which will guide the project in monitoring activities, documenting learning processes, and collecting feedback from participants.
By strengthening the capacity of trainers and youth workers across the partnership, the session helped ensure that all organisations involved share a common framework for evaluating project activities and analysing their impact.
This shared approach will support partners in applying evaluation tools consistently across different contexts and countries.
Evaluation as a Continuous Learning Process
Within the project, evaluation is not treated as a final step carried out only at the end of the activities. Instead, the Participatory Evaluation Methodology supports a continuous learning process throughout the project.
Through this approach, partners will regularly collect reflections and feedback from the young people involved in the project activities. This ongoing dialogue will help the consortium better understand participants’ experiences and adapt activities when necessary.
By establishing a structured feedback loop between participants and partners, the project aims to ensure that its activities remain responsive to the needs and perspectives of the target group.
Strong Collaboration Across the Consortium
The successful organisation of the first Train the Trainers session highlights the commitment and proactive collaboration among all project partners.
Thanks to this shared effort, project activities are progressing smoothly and according to the planned timeline, ensuring that key milestones are delivered effectively and without delays.
This coordinated approach contributes to maintaining a high level of quality, participation, and impact throughout the project implementation.
Looking Ahead
The knowledge and tools introduced during the training will now support partners in implementing the Participatory Evaluation Methodology in upcoming project activities.
As the project moves forward, the consortium will continue working together to ensure that the voices and experiences of young participants remain central to the learning and evaluation process, strengthening the overall impact of the project.
